“no the real name of the robot is achilles”

– me, right before load in to lehigh

so anyway this one will be short because well, it should be.

over spring break, tl;dr nothing really happened. Mentor M was somewhat carrying with the intake. A bit more than somewhat… it appears that a few people were there sometimes but thats it. well i figured out how to 3d print glasses so that’s that (that’s what I was there for…)

robot handed to me like monday after. theoretically it was supposed to be given to me at 4pm but it took them until like 8pm…

the intake backlash of like 24 deg was a pain to deal with. so i took like 5 hours trying to figure out how to control it well. they were rushing me. quote: “3 hours? no way” mfw they complain when i take 3 hours when they take 12 weeks to build this thing and it doesn’t even work that well. the old robot intake (and everything ngl) worked better too…

i got like 5 hours total. then tuesday they like did mechanical changes the entire time and i didn’t get any time at all. why am i wasting my time smh.

……

anyway lehigh happened (i wasn’t there). apparently robot performed pretty well and averaging 100 points? and then they screwed up some electricals and then like destroyed more electricals because of running a match without bellypan cover etc. and there were also mechanical fixes too.

it appears that code didn’t even break a single time :P and i got the least time out of all the teams. why does all the rest of the team have a skill issue :sob:

it appears that they would have made worlds if it worked rip.

maybe i got like 24 hours total on programming this entire year LOL

i’m so ngl i kinda regret not quitting the team earlier because they clearly dont respect anything i say or do… and it would have been so much better for my sanity. but sunk cost fallacy is what it is…

anyway the team did much better than they deserved…

p.s. it looks like next year will not have learned any of this year’s lessons…
